On June 8, 2018, New England Historic Genealogical Society honored Carolyn A. Lynch, who died in 2015, in a ceremony dedicating the New England Historic Genealogical Society courtyard garden in her memory. Lynch was a longtime trustee of NEHGS and served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Lynch’s husband, Peter Lynch, and NEHGS President and CEO Brenton Simons spoke of her dedication to NEHGS and her love of gardening; Cardinal Seán O’Malley blessed the garden in her memory. Peter Lynch and Cardinal O’Malley with Peter and Carolyn’s daughters: Annie Lukowski, Elizabeth de Montrichard, and Mary Witkowski.
